Caring Partners teamed up with Project Readiness to assist families in need with obtaining school supplies for the 2022-2023 school year. Project Readiness was able to provide backpacks filled with school supplies to ensure that 88 children would be prepared for the first day of school.

Project Readiness was founded in 2018 by Jen Scarpati and Annie Peters. Their goal is to ensure that all of the children in New Jersey receive the same opportunities, regardless of economic background, by providing the necessary school supplies, and free financial assistance counseling services for students preparing for college.

In additional to Caring Partners, Project Readiness has partnered with Family Promise of Morris County, Head Start, Nourish NJ and Homeless Solutions. To date approximately 2,500 children have been first day of school ready thanks to Project Readiness.
