Caring Partners is pleased to announce that the Mental Health Association of Essex and Morris and Center for Family Services have been awarded Community Resource Development Funds to enhance family and youth programming in Morris and Sussex counties.

The Mental Health Association of Essex and Morris will expand its Suicide Prevention Services by offering a youth-led support group for individuals ages 11 to 18 in Morris and Sussex counties. They will offer 2 weekly groups at the Lakeland Hills YMCA and Sussex County YMCA.

The Center for Family Services will expand its Morris County Mending Arts program to Sussex County. The program will enable youth to develop communication skills, positively express their feelings, and reduce maladaptive coping mechanisms through creative expression and analysis. The program will target at-risk youth ages 5-17, offering 40 groups (8-10-week sessions).
